Which remote do I setup (1 Viewer)

This is a spinoff of my original post https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/mediaportal-really-viable-40124/. As the moderator suggested, I will ask single pointed questions so this is the first of many.

To start with, the case that I am using is a Silverstone LC16M, which came with a from display and iMON Pad remote.

Does this mean that any remote I use must emulate the iMON PAD? I have a Logitech Harmony One that I plan to use for this machine and the Logitech remote programming tool only lists a Microsoft MCE in its list of devices.

I use that imon remote too. May I ask why you are moving away from using the Imon remote? Is there a better one?

I'm not sure if just any remote will work with the USB imon receiver. So can't help you with that one, sorry.

The Logitech One is a high end remote that I currently have in my media room. It currently operates my Denon 3808 A/V receiver, big screen tv, Starchoice Satellite receiver, DVD player, Karaoke Player, Buzz Receiver, Archos 605, and my VHS player. See where I am going with this. My wife and children are already acustom to the Logitech and I am hoping to be able to program it to the HTPC so that I don't have another remote kicking around. I purchased the Harmony One so that I could replace 8+ remotes that I have and it has worked well up til now.

You have gotten down to the heart of my question though. Can the USB imon receiver handle any remote. I could spend hours and perhaps days playing around myself, but I chose to attempt to get to the bottom of this quickly by asking.

Sounds like you are saying your logitech remote can learn commands? If so, can you teach it the imon signals and do it that way?

It would be possible from the Logitech side, however, my iMON PAD remote isn't working properly either. In fact, only about 50% of the buttons appear to work. More on this in the thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/newcomers-forum-240/mediaportal-really-viable-40124/

In the link I sent people are using imon codes to programme their other remotes with. Can you use codes to programme yours, rather than it detecting a remote signal from the imon remote?
