Recently I bought this Receiver + Remote. Since I'v been trying to get it to work with irss and similar programs with no success.
I think that the problem is that win7 identified the device as a hid a keyboard , so the signal drops before it reaches the software. Is there a way to solve this? Thank you

    Hi there,

I recently bought a new remote (different to that one, but appears as a HID device and not an ehome). I have the same issue, where some buttons do not work.

I assume you have configured MePo to have a HID remote?

I have given up trying to get it working, and will get an eHome or USBUIRT receiver. :(

    J.

Actually, I do not use media portal. the store store bought remote works fine, and reason I wanted to use irss is to configure a diffrent remote to control the computer (The cables remote). I found a solution to linux and I thought maybe there is also solution to Windows. in all kinds of diy ir receivers sites there are different types of drivers and firmware. Do you think it will be possible to somehow combine between them?
i also found this, which is some kind of driver. I do not know programming but maybe you or someone else, could use this to find a solution.
