I have this problem with Media Portal that "Record Now" takes a few minutes before start... My only option is to use Windows Media Center if I need to record something immediately, which it does.
It seems as if selecting the current program or manual stop just take ages to get going, and I don't understand why. Also, when I schedule a program to record on a recurring basis, and it's just before it needs to start, it doesn't start for the current recording. I think (or hope maybe) that it begins with the next schedule.
Does anyone have advice on these issues? Tips, tricks or advice on things I may be doing wrong?
In case it's relevant I have an Hauppauge HVR 2200 dual tuner with separate tuners grouped as recommended in MediaPortal help.
