Wich Windows language I should use in my MP PC? Can I run Mp on Swedish XP or should I install the English version instead?

I would also like to know if I should run MP on Windows XP Home/Pro or on
Windows Media Center?

I´m not sure if I should use the Swedish version of Windows with swedish patches/hotfixes or English version with English patches/hotfixes.

What is the programmers recommendation on OS version and language ?

Hi,

In short, all of the above work fine. Besides, you can set you're language in MP individually from the OS's language, so even if you should decide to go with the english XP you can still enjoy MP in swedish

Some nordish (incl. swedish) XP versions have problems with MP (to be more precise: with the SQLite engine we're currently using). So if I'd have the choice, I'd prefer an english install, if i were you.

Thanks for the advice. I´ve been running MP on both Swedish and English XP versions but I have´nt been sure what U guys recommend.
Now I do! I´ll go with the English version.

I am trying to get started with MP, and I get error messages saying that MP has run into a problem (unspecified) and needs to close, which it does not do, however. The logs point to a problem with sqlite.dll. Is the language conflict mentioned by you still unsolved?

I run a Swedish XP version.
