Will My Card Work? (1 Viewer)

I just got an ADS InstantHDTV card to watch over-the-air HD programs. The software it gave me, beyondTV, doesn't detect any HDTV channels anywhere in Canada, it only works in the states, and that software sucks, so I want to use mediaportal.

I isntalled it and tried configuring my capture cards. It didn't detect either my ATI Radeon 8500 tuner, or my ADS card.

Is there any way I can get my cards to work? Or are they just not supported.

... But I won't be adding the card to the database.. it doesn't work.

What do you mean "it doesn't work" - do you mean that it is broken, or not suited to the Canadian TV frequencies, or that it doesn't work with MediaPortal? I am confused now...

ADS is just a bullshit company. I paid $120 for this card, and not even the software it comes with can tune HDTV, or analog for that matter, theres no sound.

I even tried it on my linux computer, not supported there either. So my conclusion: Don't buy from ADS.
