Win Media Center, messing whit MP need to remove or something (1 Viewer)

Mann im getting tired of WMC messing whit my MP, when i use the remote..

i have the IR server suite installed.
and thats working great.
but. win media center on my vista 32bit keeps messing whit me..
i never use it EVER..

cani get rid of it?
whould it be better to install win xp, whitout media ccenter ?
or how do i solve the issue.
any one know?

For the average person, just disable in services everything that has windows media centre in the name.

or if on ultimate\business editions

1. Open MMC
2. Load the group policy object editor
3. Open the Local computer policy
4. User config
5. Admin templates
6. Windows components
7. Windows Media Center
8. Do not allow Media center to run : Enable

Save and that's it bye bye MCE.

ive don this, and it works great... finaly got rid of that wmc thing i hate it..

Qustion, do you know, will MP run better or the same on XP Pro
as i have to buy licens soon, for Vista or XP for my HTPC

I only use it for MP, nothing else..

Considering your hardware specs,
I'd definately go for vista.
