Windowed TV shows black and flashing (1 Viewer)

Using EVR under XP do not support HW acceleration. Moreover it's black screen in full screen for HD !!!

Originally I have 8.9 drivers and ATI2600XT.

I've updated to :
.net 3.5 SP1 => no change...
8.11 drivers with wife's congratulation => always black screen ( even in full screen )
back to 8.9 => always black screen......
disabled CCC launch at startup => back in original situation.

Has anybody tried with the latest DirectX with VMR9 ?

I've only used mediaportal with my 4670 for a couple of months but I've come to the conclusion that enabling anything in CCC gives problems. Antialiasing - black screen during video, dynamic contrast- MP freeze during preview, any video enhancements mess up the picture in streaming tv. Generally best to keep it simple and if you play games just use the in game settings for the 3D configuration.

I've updated with latest 8.12 drivers. I's better ( not perfect in all cases ).

But I need to disable the CCC launch at startup to avoid total black screen ( same problem as 8.11 )

Until this is fixed maybe the developer can make an option to disable the windowed TV and only show the menu?

We are approaching the MP-final milestone, so I don't think any temporary coding would be worth while.

Keep sending bug reports to ATi!

I have a similar problem and already started a german Thread. When i start Live TV everything works fine but if i navigate back to the home menu i got a black preview window. Sometimes i see a short flash of the video. Same in Basic Home and in the TV-Guide. But in MyVideo or MyMusic the preview window woked fine. Because there seems to be no solution i started reading the xml files. And here it comes: If i chance the font size in BasicHome.xml, videoOverlay.xml and mytvguide.xml to a size over 14 i got the video! Its flashing but it´s working. Maybe there is a problem with the font size for ATI

Well thought i had the problem solved but i worked because there was the recording sign in the home menu! After finishing the recording the old problem is back!

Hi,

I have exact the same problem eitn the video editor. It' reproducable, that if TV server is recording something, i get video. If the server does not record, there is no video. I cannot imagine, how this could be related, but am willing to have a look at the sources, if someone could point me to the direction, where to look first.
