Since i switched to Windows 7 64bit i experienced random system freeze. I my case this occurs "sometimes (~ once per week)" when i wake up my HTPC from standby. The harddisk led is glowing constantly and the machine does not react on muse or keyboard input. I even can shut it down. ... no clear message in the event log... I found some huge threads dealing with this issue. It seems to exists since beginning of Windows 7 and is not solved yet: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7repair/thread/85cad5d1-dace-415d-9b06-5c609209e232 Windows 7 freezes I would like to know if anyone of you also suffer from similar issues? For my point of view it is mainly an issue of the 64bit version, i never had such problems with Vista HP 32bit on the same hardware, but this is just a guess.
