Windows 7 playback not smooth (1 Viewer)

I'm a long time user of Mediaportal and recently decided to upgrade my Vista install to Windows 7. I wiped the machine and reinstalled. Since then I have an issue with the framerate on some mkv files. It's tricky to explain it kind of plays normally for a couple of seconds then seems to fastforward for half a second. Its very noticeable on panning.

I thought it was the auto refresh rate system not set correctly but it seems ok, and does not affect me playing other things. I've noticed that the movies that suffer seem to have DTS sound, and am wondering if that's related. Is there an obvious solution to this? I'm in work right now, but when I get home tonight I'll send my spec/codec settings if it would help.

Please give more informations on codec, hw platform, version of MP....

I suggest you to use SAF 5 under windows 7. It really gives good results.

You als could try to change "libavcodec" to "libdts" for DTS in the FFDShow Audio Decoder codec settings.
