But anyway, I guess you prefer to use a very expensive CPU to do the software decoding, as a minimum of 3Ghz dual-core is needed to barely decode high bitrate H.264, then a $20 GPU that can do it much faster.So just do a software comparison yourself then. As I said before, the MPC-HC application can be used to test, doesn't require any installation and it relies on the internal filters first, assuming u don't adjust settings, so it will not use CoreAVC/etc. Then just compare that to CoreAVC via the CPU results gathered from the performance monitor in Task Manager, and you will know what works best for you.</blockquote>
