Windows 8 & MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

This is my first post, I have just joined this community. First off, I love this FE and would like to use it on my Media PC. I just configured a laptop running W7 64bit for my sister and connected it to her new 46" LED TV and it looks amazing!

Now I would like to install it on my aging XP machine but decided to format and install W8 DE due to the great performance it has been giving me on my truck PC running Ride Runner FE from the MP3car.com community. Boot times & shutdown times are amazing on W8 and it has picked up almost every piece of hardware I have thrown at it.

Upon trying to install MP, I quickly realized it won't install.I came here and read the thread in the software forum from fall indicating that there are issues with W8 & MP. My question is has it been determined that MP definitelywill not work with W8 or has someone figured out a work around? Thank you in advance for direction on this. Cheers!,

Should be quite simple to add support, but won't be for 1.2.

I missed those other 2 threads you linked me to so thank you. I guess I will keep watching for an update on when it will be possible to install on W8. Thank you you the quick reply!!
