    As reported here by rtv (Developer) https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/390072-post109.html

    This will stop streaming and you will not be able to start TVServer config.

    What you need to do.

    Go here C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

    Open host file with notepad, the last 2 lines in below picture is what you need to have for things to work correctly.

    sshot-14.jpg

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost

    is the important bit, just cut and paste there.

    Hopefully everything should now work correctly, no reboot necessary.

    Thanks to rtv for finding this so quickly.

    Hi,

    Thanks for looking into this but i've just done a reinstall and still got the problem. My host file is exactly:

    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost

    Which seems correct ?

    Then your problem has nothing to do with this.

    Thanks!

    *edit= it worked the first time after changing the file details, but then another error came up after exiting and re-opening

    OK, Maybe my computer illiteracy, but when I have edited the host file, I am not allowed to save my changes?? Any ideas?

    I am logged on as administrator, so that shouldn't be it

    Check in the file properties that it isn't set as read-only.
