Winfast DTV2000 H - not working (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I know there's a lot of threads relate to this problem, but I have been trying whole weekend solve how add this card to MP, but without luck. I was reading all threads relate to this but card is still not recognized in the MP configuration. So what I'm doing wrong?

1. Is that true that I have to use Winfast PVR, not Winfast PVR2? Anyone have link for it? I only found the link for PVR2. Btw, I downloaded the latest.
Then I normaly found it in MP configuration in Television section?

2. Shall I have the latest drivers for tuner? or some special? I used the latest from leadtek...

3. How I add both the analog and digital as well? Do I have to use the Graphedit, or is there any other way, because I'm not so familiar with it?

4. Maybe just copy/paste right source code from that two xml files (card...) relate to tuner from someone which configuration works? is that possible?

rob2rob, I can help you with the card. It works for me. I can give you the right card definition extraction for the card, at least digital tuner part, but you'll have to wait until I am back home tonight. If you are interested, let me know.
Otherwise, to get it working you have to check two things:
1.Using graph edit, follow instructions from the wiki guide, step by step just to get the card correct filter moniker.
2. Find the DTV2000 H (Digital) block in the carddefinition.xml file (use notepad for the matter) and make sure the moniker there is the same as you received from the graphedit. Also, when you check the BDA driver name you will find that it has somethings like Phillips Chip at the end. Remove it. All drivers and filters' names must be the same as in the installed card (you can use device manager to check the correct drivers name).

Usualy, just deleting the Phillips part from the default carddefinition file works for me straight away.

I hope you will fix it before i get back home from work.

thanks fromaron. Just the question at the start. Shall I use the TV engine3? Because If I'm using it, there are both tuners(analog,digital), but for analog I can't find the stations. I just can add SVHS/VHS, but in MP TV, it writes something like "unable to start timeshifting"... Digital I will be able to start tomorrow, since I have to buy the antenne....

The TV3 can detect your tuners automatically. The MP standard installation doesn't, so the cardsdefinition file has to be manually edited as per instructions.
I am not using TV3 at all, so can't help you there, I only can assume for analog channels to be scanned, correct frequency band has to be selected (only guessing). With MP I am using just Digital tuner for TV reception as it gives me superior quality and more contents.

understand. Thx for answer. So I tried it like that:
Uninstall TV3 and used graphedit. I think I did it right, and edit carsdefinition right as well, but still, when I start MP configuration, in the section Television, Card Capture, it is still not found. When I open adding window, I can't select the card. So Maybe something is still wrong...

btw.. I need use both analog and digital, because some channel is not digital yet, and I need SVHS/VHS ...

I think the moniker is wrong, it looks very strange and its in the file in a wrong format also. Check other card definitions, you will see the &amp string and so on. There is an old thread in the forum, discussing the definition for DTV2000 H card.
The fact the moniker is wrong worries me a bit. Do you have latest drivers installed from Leadtek website?
Anyway, tonight I will attach my definition for the tuner card which works very nice and stable for me.
