Synopsis::

Get the "Unable to create graph for this device" message in mediaportal setup, and the "Failed to start timeshifting,
Card definition does not contain any filters" message when clicked on My TV.

I am using the latest driver/software for the TV Card, I also installed WinDVR 3 for the Intervideo codecs. FFDShow off.

List of Video codecs in setup:
MPV Decoder Filter
Dscaler MPEG2 Video Decoder
InterVideo Video Decoder
Nero Video Decoder
Nero DVD Decorder
GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder
Nero Video Decoder HD
Leadtek DTV Video Decoder
Leadtek MPEG Muxer
Leadtek MPEG Muxer (2 of them in the list)
CyberLink MPEG Muxer
Nero MPEG2 Encoder
CyberLink MPEG Muxer
InterVideo Multiplexer

List of Audio codecs in setup:
MPA Decoder Filter
ffdshow Audio Decoder
DScaler Audio Decoder
InterVideo Audio Decoder
Arcsoft MPEG Audio Decoder
Nero Audio Decoder 2
Nero Digital Audio Decoder
Leadtek MPEG Muxer
CyberLink MPEG Muxer
Nero MPEG2 Encoder
CyberLink MPEG Muxer
InterVideo Multiplexer

I am not sure which codec I should use (InterVideo Video Decoder or Leadtek DTV Video Decoder maybe?), however I kind of tried EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM but I still get the same error message.

Also I tried to turn off timeshifting but it doesn't help.

Thanks in advance.

Can someone help me please? I spent the whole day searching through the forum and could not find anything similar to the "Card definition does not contain any filters" error message :( .

I did look in the capturecarddefinitions.xml and there are multiple entries of the TV2000 Expert card. I installed all the codecs, updated mediaportal with the latest snapshot.......

thanks.

Gosh there isn't much help about in this forum, there aren't even that many active posters. Such a shame given how good MP is that there aren't more people who can help troubleshoot this sort of stuff.

Theres no-one out there who can even send us in the right direction with this problem??

The main problem is that the majority uses hardware cards, and so there arent that many software card users (with technical knowledge) to help. If you can get hold of a proper dev (say try on irc), they might be able to help you better.

Looking through the log the first error occurs:

    #SinkGraphEx:CreateGraph() IN
    #14/6/2006 22:43:23 key:confused:YSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI\ven_14f1&dev_8800&subsys_6611107d&rev_05\4&13699180&0&0848
#14/6/2006 22:43:23 Exception :confused:ystem.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero.
    #Parameter name: length

It seems to read from this registry key, mind finding out what that is?
