im sorry, but i didnt get this card running under MediaPortal, but additionally i didnt had much time for tries.

I am using freevo now

ok - freevo is linux-based package only - or? - I thought about going for the knoppix version of mythtv - but do you "get more" with freevo ?

Yes, freevo is only for linux. You don't get more with freevo. It's different. It is a frontend for mplayer/xine, mythtv is a monolithic all in one package. Get what you like more. I am very happy with freevo now, but YMMV.
