Hello, new member here :)

I was wondering if my tv-card will work out the box with the tv-server, Ive tried with mediaportal 1 earlier and could not get it working and Iam so tired of windows mediacenter.

Any help on this would be nice, also if it dosen't just work by itself, any help on how to make it work would be well recived.

Hi Kristensen

Welcome to the forums.

I have a pair of Hauppauge WinTV HVR-4000S and use the current v4.6b drivers.

I used them last year for DVB-S (including BBC HD which is DVB-S at the moment) and am currently using them for DVB-T. I have not used them yet in TV Server as a hybrid card (as you can only use one tuner per card at a time), I must get round to getting my satellite dish sorted out at my new home. I have only ever used them in a single seat TV Server set-up so I cannot comment on using the MediaPortal 1 TV engine.

I have not used the analogue part (I used a PVR-500 for analogue as it has hardware based encoding). I believe this did work in TV Server in the past (once the MCE_soft_encoder had been installed) but users have reported problems recently which may or may not not have yet been resolved (see https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/development-91/test-bugfix-hvr-4000-hvr-2200-analog-part-44807/).

I hope that this might answer some of your questions.

Thanks for your reply, will try out that new dll and see if that works, as its analog I need and none of the other stuff.
