As a newbie and previous user of TVEdia allow me firstly to offer congrats to all those involved in MP. I have used MP before and often visited it just as an old friend visits someone because you never know what's happened since that last time.

Well all I can say is wow.. a great app and full of hope and admiration.

So I've revisited and moved away from TVEdia and installed latest 0.2.3.0 release, backed up and installed latest SVN Snapshot all in my vain hope of getting my WinTV Nova-T-SE stick to work.. but not a chance.

Installed Hauppauge drivers supplied with the Stick and loaded WinTV app, this all works beautifully.

But cannot get the damned thing to work with MP.

So, does MP support the Hauppauge WinTV-Nova-T-SE stick?

I have trawled through the forums and found some useful information and tried all these steps and still nothing.

When entering MP Configuration and choosing Television | Capture Card, I get dialouge " No Video Capture card(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card "

This then opens Properties for my non existent capature card and I close in frustration.

Any Ideas?

Previously to make sure I was not going completely mad I did a Hardware clear using WinTV HWCLEAR.EXE app and removed Nova Stick, installed a WinTV 478 PCi card and after a bit of playing around ( registered the .ax file ) the card was selectable with no problems and bob's your uncle it worked under MP.

But really want to get the WinTV-Nova-T-Se stick loaded?

Any ideas....? great to here some good news.

Keep up the amazing work and look forward to a post.

Use TVE3, this should find both cards.

The main advantage to you, is you can record\watch more than 1 channel (as long as they are on same transponder)

I've linked to videos for you, just in case you do not like readings docs.
