    Hi,

I found an old Hauppauge WinTV-USB in a box in my attic. A quick question regarding possible support.

Is this card 878 based? Is it possible to get it working in MP using the following description?

    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Analog_Software_Encoding/HauppaugeWinTV878based

Do I need to install the standard Hauppauge drivers if the above howto works?

The USB based card looks like it's this one:

    Cheers,
    Martin

    Hi,

Just tried to install the card but MP is "unable to create graph".

Is this a bug or do I need to run Graphedit to get this card supported?

The full log can be downloaded from:

    Many thanks,

Maybe this one is needed as well?

    • MainConcept (MCE) MPEG Encoder
      @device:sw:{083863F1-70DE-11D0-BD40-00A0C911CE86}\{0A775550-00F0-4B13-A454-3F8EAB4AC0B6}

I'm able to create a graph with audio and video using the following setup with the MainConcept Encoder:

You don't have a supported MPEG-2 encoder installed.
Grab InterVideo WinDVR3 demo from their web site & install that as an example.

Just a question regarding the MainConcept encoder that Hauppauge bundles.

    I followed the following instructions:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Supported_TVCard_Analog_Software_Encoding/HauppaugeWinTV878based

The .ax registrers ok but in Graphedit it's listed under "DirectShow Filters" instead of "Video Compressors". Is this encoder not supported? According to the SW Encoder howto it's supported.

    MainConcept (MCE) MPEG Encoder

    Many thanks,
