Basically my problem is that whenever I select a video from My Videos, the hard drive has some activity but it doesn't do anything, it doesn't switch to the video, it doesn't crash, it just does nothing. Same when trying to play from a USB2 stick.

=======

I also get the problem with my trying to stream videos from My Trailers and My Music Videos, it either doesn't show the videos (can hear it though) or it plays them in pink and all distorted with all different bright colours.

What should I do?

Thanks.

    Hi,

    thanks. Well, there seems to be a problem with enabling VMR9:
    2007-04-14 17:12:50.156250 [Warn.][MPMain]: vmr9: pin:0 not connected:80040209

    2007-04-14 17:12:50.156250 [Warn.][MPMain]: vmr9: no input pin 1 found

    2007-04-14 17:12:50.156250 [Warn.][MPMain]: vmr9: no input pin 2 found

    Try disabling exclusive directx mode. Also: Do the movies play in WMP? Which codecs to you use for your AVIs?

    Flip.

    Lol, im kicking myself!

    In all the excitement of setting my Media Center Up, i forgot to install the codecs so that solved my problem with My Videos.

    And I also forgot to install the latest Windows Media Player, so I did and that solved the problem with MY Music Videos, but i still sometimes don't get video for the My Trailiers. An example trailer is the Rush Hour 3 Trailer.
