Working while Watching TV? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I don't know if there is already a way of doing this with the software but I want to keep the tv on top but carry on with other work for example in Office while it runs in a corner.

I can't seem to resize the screen any smaller than slightly smaller than a full screen but have selected keep on top in options. This means i can't be getting on with anything else while i have the tv running.

Any advice or tips on if this can actually be done and how would be useful!!

MediaPortal is an HTPC application, which means that it is designed to be the only application running when you are using it. You should try another software for a Window based TV watching.

Cheers for the help. Do you have any advice on what is the best software for this? Or can anyone else recommend a decent package to go with a videomate DVB-T200.

I have the software that came with the Tv card, Comprodtv but i have been unable to use it at all. It just gives no signal permanently and causes system to lock up completely despite trying patches and updating the software.

Mezzo you are looking at the wrong software. 99.9% the software that comes with your TV card (you DO have a TV card right?) already does what you ask.

Yes of course i have a TV card! Before being totally sarcastic why don't you read the whole conversation which you obviously haven't. If you had you would have seen that:

1. I have a Videomate DVB-T200 card.
2. Compro DVT is the software and it is totally unusable despite trying various patches and updates to get a signal. It is the worst piece of software i have ever encountered.

So now i am looking for a piece of software to do this function as when i have tried mediaportal it doesn't!

I just wasn't sure if you HAD the card or planning to buy it (so you wouldn't know what software is included)

anyway, MP is not what you are looking from what I read you want
