they all have BDA driver (but I am not sure for which "parts" of the cards) - do you see any posibility? does anybody have any of those?

They should all be able to be supported its just the first 3 dont have hardware mpeg2 encoders for use on the analogue. So if you really want to use analogue then the 4th one would probably be preferable.

    Thanks callifo.

I also read the related sticky and still don't get it. Soft-cards are not supported at all or are partialy supported depending on some factors? Can you make it a bit clearer?

They are all (afaik) supported but just like any other card support MUST be added. The old system worked without specific support but it was crap. Now software cards work like any other card in that it needs specific support.

Since those cards are new they will also need support added (dvb-t, dvb-s) as well as the analogue.

Basically MP uses the MS stream buffer engine which expects a mpeg2 format to be passed to it. DVB and hardware cards already do this but software dont so they need a software mpeg2 encoder installed. Requirements go up substantially too, 2.8Ghz AMD/P4 is required for operating a software card. This can also cause problems if you try to use more than one card at a time (when using the software card) If you have the option a hardware is definately the best choice.

    ok I get you

but a mix of PVR-350 (hardware analog - I already have) and a flydvb trio (all software probably, but analog/dvb-s/dvb-t) should run fine right?

Cant tell, havent used a software card myself but cpu usage should still be pretty high even on a beefy cpu. My 2600+ sempron takes a 20% hit from a dvb-t card recording and a 30% from a hardware analogue card recording. So 3 cards at the same time is still acceptable.

Please note, Lifeview software stops working as soon as you install MP.
This occured sometime during 0.2RC2, and have never got it to work side by side with MP.

Saying that the card itself works flawlessly within MP.

    OK thanks people.

I am thinking of the following:

    PVR-350 (hardware analog/FM) - have this
    LifeView SkyDVB Trio (software analog/FM/DVB-T/DVB-S)
    SkyStar2 (software DVB-S for "experiments") - cheapo

I hope they can live together in the same box and together in MP.

Am I right to think that DVB-S/T "software", are still not to hard on the CPU (since I presume they give MPEG stream anyway?). Or there is something wrong with the theory?
