Xbox 360 and extender capabilities (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

I read through some different posts, but there are many older pieces of information so I thought I would ask here for the most recent info.
I am trying to build a DVD library where on a Media Center PC I keep all the files centrally located. this can be done with mediaportal from what I have read.

My main goal is to actually utilize the Xbox 360 with the media center extender to play the movies from the Media Center PC.

Can this be done with mediaportal? Also is there a post or docs more specifically geared towards configuring this idea?
