Hi,

How do people configure Windows for use with Media Portal...is it common practice to set up a separate user account?

For example, create a limited user account for security purposes? Or is this too restrictive?

Either way, is it good practice to have a unique user account for running Media Portal?

I just use a the normal administrator account on my MP box. Have autologin setup and use scheduled tasks for my EPG grabber.

I think MP will not even run if you are not Admin... (though with some work you can make it)

Either way, i think most people use their HTPC only as an HTPC, thus no need for complexities
