You must install a supported audio encoder! (1 Viewer)

When I try to tune into an analogue channel the following error message appears:

Failed to add audio compressor. You must install a supported audio encoder!

The tuner's DVB part works well, only the analogue channels display this message.

The card's analogue part works well with its own software.

What kind of encoder should I install? (I've already installed WinDVR 3 suggested by others in this forum, didn't help)

I'm facing exactly the same problem.

OS: Win 7 32bit
MP version: 1.1.0.0
TV Card: Terratec Cinergy HTC USB XS HD (Hybrid stick)
Audio Card: Soundblaster X-Fi

Also tried to install WinDVR 3 ... no solution.
Using Shark Codec Pack

If you go to Hauppauge's website there is a download available that installs a Windows Media Center software encoder which will work with Mediaportal as well.

No it won't work as that encoder is not Win7 compatible.
