mediapotal log @ http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10698
error log @ http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10699

Can't get MediaPortal to recognise my tv card. I have managed to get rid of the "unable to create graph" in the APP but the config utility still doesn't recognise it.
I am on the much maligned Asus S-presso barebones.. and overseas [so buying a hardware encoder isn't really an option they are rare here]... i know others have gotten their cards working and i need some help.. I have Dscaler and graphedit.
all help is appreciated.
thanks.

hello? PLEASE HELP

is this forum dead or what? So after some tweaking. i can get the card recognized by MP, but i seem to have to use the Asus supplied drivers. i ahve Dscaler installed. works fine. I have WinTV PVR seems to work ok. But MP will NOT turn on live TV.. all i want it to do is capture.. My ATI card should be adequate to push the video signal. I know i have a shitty processor, but it is still 2.5Ghz...
so what are suggestions?

also, yes i know a hardware card would be better, but they are expensive and hard to find in thailand.

PLEASE HELP

The only errors in those logs seem to say there is something wrong with your channels. Do you have logs from when it says its unable to create the graph?

Did u installed the Leadtek PVR application? That is an sw card so it needs the Leadtek mpeg2 encoder for work.
