Hi all
I have an issue with the way the video zoom modes are currently working; and Im sure its simple, but at the moment it has me tearing my hair out.
When I play video that is not 16:9 (Im connected to a 16:9 TV via an AV reciever), no matter what zoom/aspect ratio mode I select I cant get the video to fill the full screen.
The different modes do manipulate the image slightly, but I am always left with black bars, either down the sides or above and below, depending on whether the original video is 4:3 or widescreen.
The frustrating bit is that Im sure it was working at some point previously (I am part way through my initial setup). At this stage I am only playing mpeg2 rips of DVD's, I am running Windows 7 and using the standard windows mpeg2 codec. I did mess around with ffdshow for post processing at one point, but I now have that switched off trying to isolate this problem.
My wife is driving me nuts complaining about her "Friends" episodes not filling the whole screen on my "stupid DVD computer"!!
I've tried searching all over this and other forums but have had no luck. help!!
