    Hi MrMario,

I have swapped the codecs back to the Intervideo variants from WinDVD 6.
Unfortunately the aspect ratio is still squashed even with the new 'zoom modes'.
Zoom for me also is still not centered.

Sorry... your perseverance with this is grately appreciated though.

Just some details of my configuration...

Graphics Controller: Nvidia GeForce MX 420
    Driver Version: 6.14.10.5672
    Resolution: 832 x 468 (True 16:9 resolution)
I use the Nvidia driver to overscan the TV display slightly.

    MP Screen Calibration Details:
    Top Left Overscan: 0,0
    Top Right Overscan: 0,0
    Pixel Ratio: 1

Is it worthwhile me putting some video footage on my FTP site for you to look at?

    DMAN.

    AHA!

I noticed the newer 0.0.0.8 build after my last post.
I uninstalled the CVS version and installed the latest setup files.
Now I have the new zoom modes working!

The Pan&Scan mode now zooms in too much... can I ask that this be reduced a bit.

Thanyou very much for sorting this out.

    Cheers!

    DMAN.

pan&scan will zoom in correct AR till the full height is reached.
yes you will loose a lot on the sides when you r watching widescreen.
But svcd should be fine not?

    MrMario,

It seems to be zooming to much height wise.
On the sample movie I gave you the MPEG-2 file has the 'Dreamworks Animation' logo cut at the bottom you can also see the balloons as they rise are cut off at the top.
    So unfortunately zooming too much.

    DMAN.

    k,
Output depends on my system on using overlay or vmr9 renderless.
On Overlay I need to use the pan&scan, on vmr9 renderless I can use the normal mode.

This prolly cause the codec itself is messing with the AR to.

    So, try it out.

Here is a picture of the svcd Vmr9 Renderless, Normal zoommode.

    Mr Mario,

For the picture you are showing me the resolution is 4:3.
    As stated I'm running a 16:9 resolution on a 16:9 TV.

If you change your resolution to a 16:9 variant then you may see what I'm seeing.

Do I have the ability to post screenshots?
I will look into the VMR9 options for video playback. With older builds my video card was not so receptive.

PowerStrip works with a wide range of cards.
What graphics chipset do you have?

Can FlipGer / Mr Mitchel / Frodo look into it?
