    @provders
    at least for me this happens also for fta channels and sometimes never and sometimes after 10 min, 20min,60min, 1hour, 2hour, ....

    Yes you are absolutly right, this time I tryed another channel, and got another error.
    Now the pictuere runs in a loop, only ½ sek. or less.
    Keep showing same picture all time.

    I needed to shutdown MP to get picture again.
    It dident help to try to change channel nor Stop/start TV again.

    Just sidenotes of tuning HD....

    Well there seems to be logs for tuning to HD channel fails and succeeds only in second attempt. It succeeds because
    after first attempt fails, graphs are cleaned. So what i tried was to modify ViewChannelAndCheck method in TvPlugin code in TvHome.cs.

    public static bool ViewChannelAndCheck(Channel channel)
    {
    bool checkResult;
    bool doContinue;

    _status.Clear();
    ..

    ..
    to:
    public static bool ViewChannelAndCheck(Channel channel)
    {
    bool checkResult;
    bool doContinue;
    g_Player.Stop();
    Thread.Sleep(500);

    _status.Clear();

    So i just stop g_player and give some time to breath.

    I know I lose timeshifting generated so far, even when going back to same channel. And it is very dirty trick, but it works.
    Zapping time with this is around 2-3 sec. For me it's much more important that zapping works, than how much time it takes. At least wife and kids like that it just works.

    With this mod zapping has not failed. Not even once.

    btw. patch targeted for 24hz out-of-sync correction(heavy changes for frame dropping and continuity checking)
    helped also for occasional freezes in live-tv. For me at least. :)

    regards,

    Have you compared the coding to 1.1 Alpha?
    Fast and stable zapping is very important to me, and 1.1 Alpha is the best ever in this case (for me) Without any SVN.
    Different codecs also makes zapping speed and stability different.

    My live tv codec setup now, and maybe "forever"

    SD: PDVD 8 from CLVD pack 300409
    HD: PDVD 9 from HDPack 2.1

    And which audio codec are you using?
    I have good experiences with the MPA codec, included within MP.
    Also, ffdshow works pretty good...
    The Cyberlink audio codec produced some issues and also, it doesn't work with HDMI out because you cannot set this within MP.

    I use AC3 filter 1.63b (latest) for everything!
    The reason from the beginning was that I wanted 5.1 sound on movies through a reciever. The AC3 filter turned out to work perfect for all :)

    BTW, When it comes to some online videos through online videos plugin I think ffdshow steps in some times. Version not sure, but it is in the HD pack 2.1 as one of the install alternatives

    CoreAVC: ts-files cropped vertically

    I changed for video playback the h264 codec from PowerDVD8 to CoreAVC.
    Seems like there is a problem with the playback of ts-files (i.e. HD TV records from mp).
    The video is cropped vertically to approx 1/4 of the total height, the horziontal resolution is correct, though.

    Same file played with zoomplayer and same codec setop is played correctly.

    Is this a known problem?

    Cheers,

    Edit: just checked with older versions. Same behaviour is also to be observed in the 1.1.0 Beta

    TV playback freeze

    Hello
    with this release tv is nearly stable...
    the latest problem beeing pitcture freezing on screen and no sound.
    note: this is while idleing on a single channel... for a random number of hours.

    if i skip back -15 sec, and play... voila, now it plays normal, past the point it froze..
    is this a known bug?

    Yep, its known,
    If you read the posts in these svn theads for mp1.1beta, then you will see a lot has this problem.
    But it look like the MediaPortal develuper cant find the bug.

    /providers.

    ps. I also noticed that skipping 15 sek will start the live tv again

    hmmm
    i was pondering here...
    since the server is obviously recording it correctly.
    could the problem be a ts file rotate problem, time issue...?

    since there is no user input occuring when video stops.

    Hi all,

    I'm using the SVN mainly because it works really well with my ATSC tv tuner (the normal beta doesn't). That being said, I've noticed that after the computer has gone to sleep mod, and then wakes from sleep that mediaportal will freeze up when I try to launch a movie/video. Keep in mind that if I don't let the computer go to sleep videos play great. So basically I have to restart whenever I want to watch something. I've attached the logs. Any ideas? I did see something mentioned about a resolution in the logs and I would really like to let the computer goto sleep when it's not being used. Thanks!
