Now I know why it took once 20 seconds and once 40 seconds. The plugin is using for the first image the backdrop which MovPic scrapped and then the fanart1, fanart2... I had one movie where the backdrop and the fanart1 was the same image
I tried the file "local MovPic backdrop ptch" and I must say it works now perfect. It is better this way when you are using movies on external drives like in my case.

Is it possible that the plugin is using only the 5 fanart images and not first the image from the backdrop path and then the fanart image? If it is to difficult or not realizeable, it doesn't matter. Great work and thanks.

Just be carefull and don't use the same image twice
Also don't use tools like fanartcleaner or MPCleaner, they will delete your lokal extra fanart!
