My Dreambox Plugin (1 Viewer)

Hi there.
I've downloaded the newer version and managed to go to the first page of the plugin.

It shows me the first screen, and loads the currently selected channel.
Now, whenever i click either to turn TV On, or on a recording, Mediaportal just closes

It seems like whenever the Videolan plugin is called, there is a crash.

I've added you on Msn, maybe we can chat together to see what the problem is?

Btw, do we need to also have Videolan installed properly on our HTPC's or not?

I've uploaded the error.log file to see if it helps

I´ve still the same error, something about the window 6660 (used in mydreambox*.xml file)

the problem is also after used the updated version.

What Dreambox Image do you use?
Try first with Gemini Project because that's what I have tested.
Today I helped a dutch guy who had troubles with an image. after he had installed GP the plugin worked.

I also installed a new image to go debugging it, Might be a problem with inconsistancy with the naming convention of the boutiques.

I had same error ,but after installing VLC it start to work like hell. if vlc is not installed in your system, try to install it.

Hi there
I downloaded and installed VLC 0.8.5
After that, everything started as it should on me as well.
So GaryW, thanks for the nice work again, and the support from the airport

Excellent speed on channel changing!!

Now we should concentrate on the small bugs to make this plugin even better!!
My list currently includes:
a) Configuration Info is not shown on setup even if you have saved it
b) The plugin shows the prefix "My" (Dreambox), even if you have the MP option to not show the prefixes
c) While in the plugin, when i click group the alignment is not at its proper place (This i guess is an xml issue??)
d) While i have a 16:9 tv, i cannot get the stream to stretch to the full size even if i put 16:9 aspect ratio on the stream, or stretch or zoom or whatever....
e) There is a dependency on VLC ( guess this must be coding stuff)
f) And of course EPG!!!

Hello again,

I´ve already installed vlc 0.8.5 with all features.

Today, I re-installed it, but the problem is still there.

nothing happened, If I select My Dreambox" in Menu.

If I select to show plugin in "my plugins" it jumps back to main menu.

maybe you see more in my complete mediaportal.log.

There is something wrong with GUI Interface.

for infomration; I´ve a DBOX2 with a neutrino image, but it works well in vlc.
I think it more a problem of the plugin self.

Hi there swepisode
I think you'll need to put a Gemini image in order for this to work, since gary's excellent plugin parses the web interface of Gemini and sends commands through that interface.

You can get that image from http://www.i-have-a-dreambox.com/ (You have to register in the forum to be able to get to the downloads)

After that, if you need help setting the image up just send a pm, i can help you out.

Compatibility

So at this time only the Dreambox models 500 and 70xx with Gemini image are supported.

I think in one week also all other boxes (Tuxbox with Enigma web interface) will be supported!!!

I do not know whether there's a Gemini image for the DBox2, if there is, please test it for me!!!
