Yes in fact we need both Core CC Parser and Line 21 :)
Thanks for future log and sample.

Hi Seb,

was wondering if this is any relation to what I describe in bug report post. (active windows is displayed when CC is forced)?
I'll test this soon tonight and see if this resolves corrects it. (I'll post the results)

    Hey :)

I think it should solve your issue.
Sorry for my english lol, in Post Process Filter, just add Core CC Parser.
Line 21 should be added automatically (at least it does here) when using Cyberlink or Microsoft Video decoder.

    So :)

    1- Patch
2- Core CC Parser only in Post Process, when i say only, i mean we can add ffdshow audio/video if we want but not Line 21 :)

    Thanks,
    Seb.

I use ForTheRecord (4TR) for live TV with over the air antenna for DT ATSC broadcasts.

Would I be able to get Closed Captions (CC) by using Sebs .zip file? or is this only for MediaPortal TV server?

Haven't tried it yet (I am at work at the moment).

    :D

    It's a good question :)
Please try this one : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/795030-post72.html
I don't know if DT ATSC can manage CC :)
    Please try and report :)
    Seb.
    Hi Seb,

No luck, so far. This is what I did.
    1. Open cmd as administrator and ran c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe cccp.ax
    2. replaced configuration.exe and core.dll from the .zip file
    3. Diddn't do anything with TvPlugin.dll (since it is provided by ForTheRecord)
    4. Went into MePo Configuration -> TV -> TV Client -> Subtitles settings -> Enable CC subtitles
    5. TV -> TV Post Processing... enabled Core CC Parser

After that I do see Subtitles in the Context menu while watching TV. Clicking it shows me Subtitles off and CC1. Clicking CC1 gives me nothing extra on the TV screen. I have a feeling I should be asking the ForTheRecord people.

Thanks, you doing exactly what is needed.
Can you upload a sample to see if .ts have CC subtitle inside it ?
    :)

    Hi Seb,

I recorded a short program (Jeopardy!) using ForTheRecord's Argus TV recorder. Then I used CCExtractor to see if it had any closed-captions. Sure enough, a .srt file was created.

Following is the output from CCExtractor.
CCExtractor 0.59, Carlos Fernandez Sanz, Volker Quetschke.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Input: D:\Users\Public\Videos\For The Record\Jeopardy!\Jeopardy! (2424)_abc_2011-10-07_19-30.ts

I will try the process again to see if MePo picks up the CC from the playback of the recorded stream. I should probably delete the .srt file before I do that.

Any more need to upload the sample?

Tried it during playback of recording.

Context menu shows Subtitle -> CC1. After enabling CC1, still no subtitles.

Next, I will upload the sample. Perhaps one of you fine folks can play it back using your MePo with CC enabled. Holy batman, my upload speed sucks.

    Thanks in advance.

Here's a sample recording (Jeopardy! from ABC on OTA 1min 46seconds).
