Re: AW: Skype4MP with video TBH, it is in limbo for the moment... we are waiting for offbyone to get some free time (which is not easy atm) or fripsy to come back to his project as he is also very busy atm. I will see if I can find out any more info, though.
I had some time to at least check the latest skype kit. Turns out this won't get me far fast - there are no .net classes in there I'd have to start off write a .net wrapper, and then start the whole plugin from scratch since the new API is totally different to the old COM that the current plugins code base is using. It also looked like we would need to write some clever directshow filter (c++) to actually display the video - nothing I want to devote my spare time to. Maybe we should just stay with the current implementation - at least audio only calls work fine with the code I have so far.
AW: Skype4MP with video it would be great to have Video, that would be the major Difference to a "simple Plugin", that other MediaCentres already have. But if no Coder has Time to do this...
I just wanted to add that I am also looking forward to getting this plugin for Skype. Unfortunatly i have nothing to contribute as i can't code, but if their is anything else that myself or the community can do to help i'm sure they will be their to help. Keep up the excellent work.
I found this interesting framework to allow fast developing of Skype video call. http://www.persistentsys.com/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=Sykvgv5ICBc=&tabid=696
