With recent SVNs there is a problem with the timeshifiting files, if a recording is active.
I am using a single DVB-S PCI card (TT S2-3200) and therefore only one channel can be tuned at the same time.
If a recording has been scheduled and is active and you are watching the recorded show at the same time, then the timeshifting files are screwed up.

    To be more precise:
I have set my timeshifting setting to min. 6 files, max. 10 files and size 256Mbyte. That means the timeshifting should never use more than 2,6 GByte max.
In the attached logs you see that the timeshifiting creates 15 files and eats up the whole disk space (4 GByte) and then the TV stops because no more files can be created!

Please find logs and a picture of the timeshifting folder attached (I took the picture with a second PC that I connected via Ethernet to my HTPC).

No feedback and nobody looked at the logs?

This is 100% reproducible and has worked in earlier builds.

At least a feedback would be appreciated.

I doubt it "worked" in previous builds... simply because it _does_ work - just in a different way than one would suspect: If you e.g. timeshift from 2 clients then these settings apply for each stream.

The limits have been working like this since the very beginning of the TV service ;)

Of course it's neither intuitive nor comfortable to setup but it won't change during the feature freeze :(

    Thanks rtv for your feedback.

However, I am using single seat!
So there is only one client streaming.

So the question still is, why does the TV server used 15 files, if I am recording a show and watching the same show at the same time?

I also recognized, that the file that is used for the recording stays empty until the timeshift buffer is completely filled up! Why is the TV server not writing directly into the recording file? I am almost sure that this worked earlier.

There is an extension to this bug also, you won't see it with one tuner though.

If you change channel while timeshifting to a channel not on the same frequency as the recording schedule the timeshifting buffer is still produced for the duration of the channel with the schedule aswell as a new tiemshifting buffer for the newly selected channel.

I've had four timeshifing buffers running concurrantly for ONE client while four seperate schedules on different frequencies were active.

The TVSERVER only closes the buffers when the schedule for that specific frequency ends.

I'll run the test again tomorrow and post logs.
