That's great! Could you maybe document the steps you took on the wiki page?

Steps I took to get this running on XP:
    • Installed IIS, installed .Net 4.0, installed MVC 3 per the instructions.
    • Installed MPExtended and MPExtended Web Media Portal for IIS per the instructions. Added some security accounts.
    • Set up a Virtual Directory to my installation "www" folder: C:\Program Files\MPExtended\WebMediaPortal\www
    • Added a handler for ".*" pointing to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll. Make sure you uncheck "Check that file exists" (this was the fix for my issue). Source: http://itscommonsensestupid.blogspot.com/2008/11/deploy-aspnet-mvc-app-on-windows-xp-iis.html (don't change your application configuration as this post suggests, leave as "Scripts Only", "Medium (Pooled)" for example, or worry about the code changes, just add the handler in "Configuration"). Click in the box of the extension if it is grayed out to enable the "OK" button. Source: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/301359/deploy-asp-net-mvc-on-iis-5-1-windows-xp
Getting the handler right (with "Check file exists" unchecked!) was the key to removing the 403 and getting IIS to serve MVC pages under IIS 5.1.

Hmm, I haven't tried Windows Server myself, but it should work. Can you post your logs?

I think there is more in your IIS access log related to WebMP, as you posted a Firefox screenshot and this are all accesses from an iPad. Anyway, I meant the MPExtended logs which you can export from the configuration program or find in C:\ProgramData\MPExtended.
