1.38 OK to import a subset of exported TV Server settings?

Actually, you just reminded me of how I have handled this in the past: I merged the contents of an old export.xml with a new one to make a complete file containing the old values I needed and the new values I didn't want to change. Why should it matter if the export file is missing some values...

1.38 OK to import a subset of exported TV Server settings?

My "fresh install" is missing some settings (in particular genre maps) that I would like to import from a previous export. There have been some tuner and channel configuration changes in the ne installation that I don't want to overwrite with old data Can I just delete what I don't want from...

    Picture description, headline or title?

I finally got around to looking at these, as well as your wiki page: https://www.team-mediaportal.com/wiki/display/MediaPortal1/New%20EXIF%20Properties%20in%20GUIPicture One of your posts states that "title" is not an EXIF field, which is true. As I mentioned above, such descriptive information...

[solved] MP1 no longer connects to DigitalDevices tuners

Not sure what trashed my DigitalDevices configuration, but I just discovered that CI/CAM had been disabled for both tuners. Maybe it was the driver update I performed (in desperation). After re-enabling them, I can now view scrambled channels in MP1. A test scan in TV Server Configuration still...

[solved] MP1 no longer connects to DigitalDevices tuners

This setup was woking fine just recently with MP1 v 1.36 64 bit and Windows 11 Pro x64 22H2. The problems first started withj MP1 v 1.38 and Windows 24H2

[solved] MP1 no longer connects to DigitalDevices tuners

The tuners are now back where they belong in TV Service Configuration; I don't know why. They can tune some channels, but many channels fail with an "unknown error" message in the MP UI. A test scan returned a lot of failures due to "scrambled" even though I have (re-)enabled CAM for each of the...

1.27.0 Supported SQL Server version(s) / TV Service dependency on SQL Server / Wait for TV Server startup

It's probably just a coincidence. I suspect a WIndows update as the culprit.

1.27.0 Supported SQL Server version(s) / TV Service dependency on SQL Server / Wait for TV Server startup

I'm happy to test, but I can only test the setup and the playback of existing recordings in the DB. My TV tuner is on strike since I upgraded to 1.38, so I have no TV Guide from which to add new recordings.

[solved] MP1 no longer connects to DigitalDevices tuners

Thanks for your analysis! I have since tried updating the DigitalDevices drivers, but that didn't help. Attached are new logs with debug-level enabled. Thanks for your help!

1.27.0 Supported SQL Server version(s) / TV Service dependency on SQL Server / Wait for TV Server startup

Please see my response to your post in the 1.39 thread. I don't find any announcement about MP discontinuing support for MS SQL 2005, but the installation dialog as of 2008 said that 2005 was disabled, because SQL Server 2005 was no longer supported as of Windows 7. Even if I am mistaken about...

1.27.0 Supported SQL Server version(s) / TV Service dependency on SQL Server / Wait for TV Server startup

The problem is not with MySql. I am using MS SQL Express. This is supported and can be selected at installation, but the dependency is then set incorrectly in the TV Service properties. I doubt that this was a mistake made in MP. More likely is that Microsoft changed something in SQL Express...

[solved] MP1 no longer connects to DigitalDevices tuners

Since upgrading from 1.36 to 1.38, MP1 no longer connects to my tuners. They no longer appear under the server in the left-hand, navigation pane of TV-Server Configuration and they are erroneously listed in the right-hand pane as IPTV sources. When I try to view a TV channel, I get "no cards...
