Standard Windows behaviour is that if you open a file in File Explorer that has an application associated with it the file will be displayed in that application. This does not happen with MP2. If I try to open a .ts file (or any other video file type associated with Media Portal) rather than...
This is not a problem we've noticed and I've just tried fast forwarding a TV recording (both 2 and 4 times). Pressing the play button while fast forwarding reverts to normal speed at the correct point in the programme. The fast rewind button has never had any effect.
So why does the .XML file have the correct programme title and both the .XML and .ts files have the programme title as the file name as expected. And why doesn't the list of recorded TV use the programme title from the .XML file?
The TV guide correctly showed the programme title as "Vera", both the .ts and .xml file names are "Vera" and the TITLE value in the XML file is "Vera". The 2022-05 screenshot (attached) shows the recorded TV list as the programme was being recorded (wrong title and description) and the 2022-06...

Property Boolean...
Hurray! That works. Thank you!
I minor problem I have with the mouse focus is that if you click on the pause button while watching (recorded) TV the button loses the focus and you have to move the mouse for it to regain the focus. Apart from this being non-intuitive it makes it difficult to...
Yes, we can fast forward, but it's too fast to be able to hear the audio. In MS WMC you could fast forward (not very fast, but fast enough to be worth while) which we found ideal for example the local TV News.
MediaPortal with the WMC skin is a fine replacement for MS WMC except that we do miss not being able to play videos speeded up (not fast forward - speeded up so you can still hear the sound) or in slow motion.
Any chance of getting these in a future release?
It would be a great feature if we could select a file to play from Windows File Explorer, either by setting the default application for e.g. the .ts (or any other image, video or audio) file to MediaPortal, or via the File Explorer context menu 'Open with' as other media players can (e.g...
