I don't think this is an issue with ANY system configuration... I was using two computers to test the SVN and Patch philosophy... I can load a fresh RC2 and the latest SVN, or "Nightly Build" and MP works... but if I load a fresh RC2 and the latest Update, or Patch it loses a bunch of the GENERAL submenus (first will be 'skins') in the configuration and opens/closes when trying to run the main MP program after running the configuration.
MAYBE I'm not doing something right... but the wiki READS like these should work -- that using a 'stable' patch is less risky for repairing 'known' bugs. Thing is, there doesn't seem to be any list of what's a known bug... just the changelog for the nightly builds. BTW, I'm doing a REMOVE RC2 in between... so my starting point is clean. OH.. I also tried using the REPAIR option but it was no better -- same results. And my XP2 load is up to date.
Can someone help me... either I'm doing something wrong or there's an issue with MediaPortal-update-0.2.0.4.exe
