I tried the new RC3 version of 0.2.3 and the TV guide is extremely slow to scroll through and also import the listings in the first place (over a minute per channel). I've tried installing MediaPortal from fresh and setting up as if it was the first ever time, but this made no difference

Also, when sorting the channels in the configuration, it takes about 5 seconds to respond every time I move a channel. Is this a known issue or just me?

This has appeared recently, do not know why, same on TVE3.

Does it make a difference if you "untick grab epg from tv stream option" in setup\tv\TVguide, for your scrolling speed.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but the closest I can find is the option called "Grab EPG from DVB". That is already unticked.

I use the webEPG grabber utility for me EPG if that helps?

Then allow about 2 mins of sluggish behaviour from MP when importing a new updated epg, saying that have not used xml import for 6+ months because of constant channel updates, so i use DVB epg instead on TVE3.

But to be honest, most systems should not notice this.

I'm using RC3 with latest SVN (as of 19/10/07) and the hard drive access is crazy. It was continuosly access the hard drive for 10 mins after I shut media portal. I do not ve a slow machine its got an Intel E6300 with 1gb mem and decent hard drives so not system related.

It looks like its something to do with the TV database? See log extract below. Is there something I can do about the tV database?
