Those living on the south coast of the UK who use the Rowridge transmitter will no doubt be re-tuning their DVB-T devices to cater for the change in transmissions today.

I'm having problems. I still run 0.2.3 TV-Engine because I had it stable and WAF was high. Don't fix what isn't broken. However, I've done a scan of channels, some new ones were picked up. Some false new channels were picked up (where the name is different in my epg to the broadcasted name, fair enough). But I've lost BBC. Of all things to lose it has to be BBC!! It's still in the list but the screen is just black. Rebooted, rescanned. Same issue.

I've had a look around the web to see if I can locate the settings for a manual configuration of the channels through the configuration tool but can't find anything that looks right.

Any pointers? Quickly. I have about 5 series on Advanced Record and my wife will go nuts if I don't get it sorted. It will all be my fault of course. :rolleyes:

Many Thanks
John

FWIW: My £10 value DVB-T box in the kitchen has picked everything up fine. This runs off the same aerial so I'm certain it's not my signal.

Update: I think the Rowridge entry in dvbt.xml is now out of date, hence there are channels on certain frequencies that aren't being picked up. Can't find anywhere online with an up to date list. I could be wrong however so feel free to correct me.

    Thats the frequencies from the latest svn, do they match!!

    It matches what I've got but I don't think it matches what is now being transmitted. There's been a reshuffle on the transmitter to prevent interference from France upping the power on some of their transmitters.

    Managed to find this list of Muxes and UHF channels from ukfree.tv

    Mux1 37
    Mux2 32
    MuxA 30
    MuxB 28
    MuxC 34
    MuxD 33

    Now need to find a UHF frequency list to do some mapping.

    Wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of questions on this later in the day when people get in from work. I'm "working" from home at the moment. Hopefully will get this sorted to the benefit of everyone else down here.

    UPDATE:

    Here you go. New Rowridge dvbt.xml settings. Just tried it myself and it works. My channel list is now a mess but everything is there and can be sorted.

    <country name="UK - Rowridge" offset="167">
    <carrier frequency="602000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    <carrier frequency="562000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    <carrier frequency="546000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    <carrier frequency="530000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    <carrier frequency="578000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    <carrier frequency="570000" bandwidth="8"></carrier>
    </country>

    I now know more than I want to know about UHF transmission frequencies. But at least I can record tv.

    Those pages are out of date as of today. Will probably be updated later as that site is well maintained. But read this page for more detail.

    Rowridge 25th March retune | ukfree.tv - independent digital television and switchover advice, since 2002

    I managed to get the new list of muxes from the detail further down the above link and cross reference with a UHF channel frequency list (off wikipedia!) to create the Rowridge xml in my previous post. Using that I am now good to go.

    The above xml will need to go into the new builds I'd say.

    Thanks for your efforts PD.

    Thanks NorthernJohn, xml file worked great after the retune.

    Just upgraded to 1.0.2, everything worked fine until I needed to do a retune.
    Guess new xml config still has not made it into build.
