TsWriter rewrites the program clock reference timestamps in timeshift and recording files to ensure the continuity and reliability of the timestamps for TsReader.<br /> <br /> When the PMT indicates that PCR is provided in a dedicated stream, TsWriter inserts timestamps into the main video stream. This is done without checking that there are no existing timestamps in the video stream.<br /> <br /> This can cause a problem when PCR timestamps that do not have the same time base as the timestamps from the dedicated PCR stream are already present in the video stream.<br /> <br /> TsReader will find conflicting timestamps in the resulting stream. This results in a loss of ability to skip, fast-forward or rewind.
