MediaPortal Version: 1.1.1.0
MediaPortal Skin: Bleaze 8.1.1
Windows Version: Windows 7

I have just installed 1.1.1.0. I previously had 1.1.0 installed. Note I am not using the TvServer (I used 4therecord).

The install worked though when I went to start the Configurator or MP, I get an error message asking me to update an older component TvPlugin Version 1.1.0.0.

Any ideas?

    Hi there and welcome :)

ForTheRecord uses it's own tvplugin.dll. MediaPortal checks that the plugin is same version as MP. You will have to wait for an updated version by monitoring/requesting on FTR-forums.

Really appreciate the prompt reply. I have renamed the tvplugin.dll so I can at least keep using MP.

I'll track FTR for their update

    Thanks again !

If you do not know FTR(ForTheRecord plugin), then you probably not using it.
Then your problem is most likely that you did not upgrade the server AND client part of all applicable PC's.

Hi I have the same problem. Not using FTR, just plain vanilla install.

When I installed the update I just ran the v1.1.1 installer. It found my existing components and said it was updating them (incl. server and plugin). I get the same message as OP about out-dated TVPlugin.

When I run the installer again it says the new components are installed. If I try to install again, nothing happens because it thinks everything is installed already.

Incidentally, I can view TV using MPWebservices without modification. But I can't get into the MP client GUI at all.

    Win7 32-bit + StreamedMP + MPWebservices

    EDIT
Alright, this is how I just worked around the problem. I manually uninstalled the "MediaPortal TV Server / Client" in Control Panel > Programs and Features. I selected "Standard Uninstall" which should leave your database and settings intact. Then I reinstalled v1.1.1. This worked for me.

Well, you really need to attach logs if you need more detailed assistance.

I had the same issue. On my test machine, used just as a client, the TVplugin updated just fine, on my HTPC with server and client, the tv plugin did not update. I copied the tv plugin dll from my client machine into my plugins/windows folder and all is fine.

    Hi,

Just replace the ..\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows\TvPlugin.dll with the one I've attached to this post and your 4therecord is back in business... ;)
