1.4.0 EPG recordings only showing a red dot (1 Viewer)

I just upgraded from 1.2.3 and the 2 skins I tried don't clearly show which programs are set to be recorded as they did before. A red dot somewhere way off to the right, often off screen is not good. Is there some way to get back the entire show showing in red when set to record?

Deselect "Enable colored buttons in TV EPG" in the TV section of settings.

You might like the new setting, though. This allows color coding your EPG based on genre groups.

Set them up in TvServer and define your colors.

I wasn't seeing any colors anyway because either our TV stations are not including that info, or the fact I'm using the xmltv plugin which is not reading it from the XML file. I think it is the latter.

Last I checked, MP still doesn't support MHEG5 EPG, or has this changed?

You have to configure the colored genre groups in server config before use.

OK, but I know Genre isn't being imported from xmltv as in the past I have configured the description template to include the Genre at the end of the description but it never showed.
