I have searched the forum without finding the answers, so I hope someone can help me.

I have scanned my video collection - about 300 films

They are organized in directories where each dir is the film title and in the dirs I might have .iso, .mkv, or vob-files:

    Film
    Movie 1
    file1
    file2
    etc.
    Movie 2
    file1
    file2
    etc.

I scan with "folder name for title" checked.
Unfortunately after the scan, all films with several video files in the directory are listed one time for each file.

ex. Dir=Ali, with the files Ali.iso and Ali.mds

the film is listed twice in the database with the name Ali.

Any way to avoid this without having to edit 800 entries?

Remove (backup somwhere else) *.mds (usually it's not needed for mounting iso) file. MP treats both files (*.iso and *.mds) as images so MP process both files (Bug). I will patch movie directory scanner to avoid duplicates for image extensions but this also is reflected through whole MP in file browsers (shares view).

Added in mantis for 1.2.3 http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=3809

Just to be sure I'm understood correctly....
It's not just an issue with the .mds. An other example is a ripped DVD with 6 .IFO files in the directory, resulting in 6 entries in the database.
And an addendum - I'm using MP 1.2.2 - can see I didn't change the version number in my data after upgrading - sry.
