1 imported movie not showing up in mediaportal. (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I have MP1 and Moving Pictures 1.8.1.0. Just added some movies and most of them were imported with out a hitch, but for some reason X-men will not show up in the MP GUI. I see that it is correctly identified under the movie manager tab within the Moving pictures configuration window. I searched from within MP and moving pictures but it does not find it. The movie details and file details are all filled out correctly within the movie manager.

I have sent it back to the importer to re-import and it didn't show up in the GUI. What can I try next to get it to show in within the moving pictures plugin in mediaportal?

The two common causes for movies "disappearing"

1. NFO files are used first, so if the NFO file contains an IMDb tt-ID reference that is "not" the movie, then it will be imported as a different one.
2. Group movies in the same folder is the default setting so when you have a folder containing two movies, they will be seen as part 1, and part 2 of the first movie title found. Check "File details" inside the movie manager, and see if you can locate the filename of the movie you are looking for, and then you can "ungroup" it.

Of course the log file will tell you exactly what happened in great detail when you delete the movingpictures.log file right before you send the movie back to the importer.

Thanks so much for the help. So I erased the logs, sent the file to the importer and then checked the GUI and it still was not there. Checked the log and got this.

I went back to the GUI and realized that I had the unwatched filter on! D'oh! I wish I had not wasted your time but thanks for the help.
