Can anyone please tell me what program the touch screen cases like this one are displaying. I am using mediaportal and when I use a touchscreen with it, it does not respond that well because it is more made for a remote scroll function and meant to be used with a remote control. What I really would like to do is somehow run my main program (MP) on the main screen and a system info like cputemp, casetemp est est on the other screen, can that be done?

Hi Cybergeek - if I understand you correctly, you want to run MP on the main screen, and have another program of your choice running on the touchscreen right?

I use a Zalman HD160XT+ with a similar 7" touchscreen, and think the answer is yes, you can do this. I run Cybermage's excellent plugin on my Touchscreen (hope I am giving credit where credit is due there - can't remember  - also a fellow Canadian if I recall correctly, but I could be really wrong there) but if I was not, then the 7" screen would simply show my XP desktop, and operate with the touchscreen driver. I could therefore run any other application I wanted on that touchscreen, as with a normal Windows application. The Zalman comes with iMon software to control the Touchscreen, which I personally do not like - however, this does come with specific applications built in that display system information, CPU load, RAM, temperatures etc - this might be what you are after?

Have a look at the imon website for a better idea of what I mean, but like I say, it's not my favourite..I have lookd at the Silverstone site, but cannot find any info on what applications they bundle with the screen, if any. however, I have downloaded the software drivers, which appear to be standard touchscreen drivers. Might try them on the Zalman so I can get rid of the iMon stuff once and for all...

Well, the great thing about Media Portal is that it's free, but I know the developers of this fine software always find a donation comes in handy for their costs. Here's the link to Cybermage's LCD driver software:

EDIT: If you are using the latest download of MP, RC4 there appears to be a new version of this plugin called Minidisplay - I have not tried this yet. The link is here:

This is the screen I talked about that controls Media Portal, so if you are watching a DVD, it has the play, Fwd, Rew, Pause buttons on the Touchscreen (all matching your prefered skin on the main screen too).

It also enables you to navigate around Media Porta using the touchscreen rather than using a mouse or keyboard pretty well.

Here's the link for the iMon software, called Front View, with some nice screenshots of what it looks like on your Touchscreen - as I said, I didn't like it, but for a simple out of the box solution that worked with my Zalman screen, I could see why people use it. CAUTION: I cannot recommend simply downloading the FrontView software and trying it on your Silverstone case, as I just don't know if it's compatible. I would suggest you contact iMon support and find out of it is supported: :::confused:oundGraph::: Innovation of Human on Digital Network It should be noted that is NOT free software, so you would need to pay for a license I think, although depending on what you want, you may find the Cybermage display far more beneficial for Media Portal.

Finally, if you do find you prefer the Cybermage software, and save yourself the $$$ in not getting the iMon stuff, here's the link to the Media Portal Donations page! :D

Good luck!
