NUMBER 1 BUG:
When pausing avi or video the time indicator and clock are stuck at a single time and the overlay is black. Playing another video does not change the time left and the clock is locked a the same time. THe time left and progress bar in OSD wont update. No way to reproduce, it happens 1-10 times a week playing 3 hours a day for 7 days aprox. 10-50 video's played

1 No wait cursor spining in my radio ( all previous asx streams work again)
2 big green overlay in my tv when using tvguide and no tvcard installen ( used to be black rectangle with )
3 switching from radio to tv guide to radio again uses Tv overlay instead of returning to music overlay. Switching from video to tvguide to video doesnt work also

From other posts
4:when getting info from allmusic reviews(the yellow button) in my music, while displaying the info and hitting back on the MCE remote the txt sometimes stays on top

5: in the my music the radiostations steams still will not be saved in the custom order. (see bug in bug report)

6: when 2 identical mp3's are in the same playlist removing 1 results in removing both even when 1 is playing, thus the music stops

7: just playing a mp3 results getting the track which is playing getting highlighted, when continuing to browser through shares and switching between DB view and share view, the next tracks which come after the selected track will not get highlighted when going back at the tracklist you started in


8 the wait cursor is still not displayed allways when MP is waiting, say in the root of films and movies

9 a default blue page should be displayed when a skin is not found in stead of the ugly black text


10: in the playing now screen if there ar 12 tracks and MP is playing the 12th track there is still a message of the next track, namely the current one, which is wrong cos MP will stop playing after the 12th track

11: sometimes or often, when getting CD album info from allmusic the gui stalls and I have the wait for the music track which I am playin as I am getting album info for another album to finish an the the gui of the all-music search is released.

12: when ripping a CD from the CDdrive and playing the CD at the same time results in a not responsive gui ( a 100% CPU load ) and eventually MP crashes

13: the filmstrip view in pictures does not always work with all jpg's ( MP should suggest to make thumb is they are not present is stead of showing a black screen

14: making picture thumbs can not be aborted: the thumb making continues in the background making MP GUI very slow or non responsive

15: no progress bar in scanning( adding music to dB) ( image ID 7415)

16:using images of artist in the music view the images get stretched to fit inside the icon. Now the faces of the artiste get squashed ( image ID 7416)

The should be scaled to fit to fit the icon placeholder

17: ability to select visualization of music and radio independently

18: error in text looking for cover art ( image ID 7417)

19 after switching form shares to DB mode a few times, the layout of the shares txt gets mixed-up.
see the duration of the mp3 files
430 does not correspond to the track duration of the first track ( image ID 7418)

20 switching from shares to DB mode in music leave bottom txt unchanged.
23 numbers 3:07 has no relation with the A-Z listing ( image ID 7419)

Navigation error:

21 In music mode, share view, entering an empty folder results in the playlist button getting selected, in stead of the .. item to go back one level in the directory structure

22 importing tvguide in dutch, there are small txt errors ('s) gets truncated ( image ID 7420)

and then with logs and steps how to reproduce please.

Infinity loop whilst i massively appreciate the effort you put into keeping the bug reporting and feedback purposeful and useful i really think that a more positive response to the obvious work and effort that idioteque has put into his post would be more appropriate. cheers m.

every bugreport is highly appreciated!

there is one simply reason why everyone (including me and all other team members) has to follow the very obvious HowTo: report bugs.

Developers do not have much time to read and fiddle around with Bugreports.
We MUST provide them with as much information in the easiest way.
And this is why i created the HowTo: report bugs.

As less time a developer needs to "understand" a bugreport, as more time he as to work on the fix.

This means. One report per issue with very detailed explaination how to reproduce the issue and logs.

Thats the best chance for the reporter to get an issue reviewed and fixed.
