2250 Hauppauge Groupings (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am just getting started with this application. I am doing the channel scan right now.

My PC has two 2250 Hauppauge tuner cards. These are Hybrid cards with two tuners inside each. The TV Setup app listed 8 cards, which I expected, 4 digital and 4 analog.

What is getting me, is how should I group these? At first I put two digital and two analog into one group, and the the other 4 into another group.

-2250-1 card one
     Digital 7164 tuner 2
     Digital 7164 tuner 3
     Analog 7164 tuner 6
     Analog 7164 tuner 7

-2250-2 card two
     Digital 7164 tuner 4
     Digital 7164 tuner 5
     Analog 7164 tuner 8
     Analog 7164 tuner 9

But that doesn't quite jive with the installation wiki regarding Hybrid cards. I am now thinking I should make 4 groups with one digital and analog in each. Like this:

-2250-1 card 1/tuner 1
     Digital 7164 tuner 2
     Analog 7164 tuner 6

-2250-1 card 1/tuner 2
     Digital 7164 tuner 3
     Analog 7164 tuner 7

-2250-2 card 2/tuner 1
     Digital 7164 tuner 4
     Analog 7164 tuner 8

-2250-2 card 2/tuner 2
     Digital 7164 tuner 5
     Analog 7164 tuner 9

what do you think?

edit: also do I have to scan this four times? Or just once?
