    Hi:

Anyone knows whether has this issue been fixed yet?

I'm now using 0.2.3.0 Final and yet the problem still exists.

    Thanks.

    Hi:

It's been now a little over 3 yeas and MediaPortal have gone a long way. I ha also upgraded and am using h latest stale release - 1.2.1, and using StreameMP skin. However, I noticed the issue that I have reported with regards to te clock still exists! It seems that MP skin defaults to AM/PM if I set to English (New Zealand). I my control panel settings is sowing 24 hour clock, although I must ay hat it seems te "defaults" for Windows for English (New Zealand) seems to be AM/PM - I wonder if at could be the problem?

Anyone has any ideas or seeing the same issue?

I would suggest that you create a bug-report here:
    Bugreports - MediaPortal Forum

I know you already did that 5 years ago, but it's better to make a new one ;)

Now, for the problem at hand, I would also think that MediaPortal should pick up the time-settings from Windows regional settings, and not from any other place. If I set my Regional settings to NZ I also get a 12-hour clock by default. But this is easily changed to 24-hour in the same settings-panel. This change is shown in the clock as you also report.

    But not in MediaPortal...

This is on Windows 7, so things haven't changed much ;)

In a side-note, Windows doesn't seem to be able to use a 12-hour clock if you set your region to a place with 24-hour clock as default. You can go from 12-hour clock to 24-hour, but not the other way around. Windows IS bugged ;)

    Indeed this oddity still exists.

The only thing I have found to do about is a work around. All my PCs are set up as 'English (United Kingdom)', which has a 24h clock as default, and then I change details as I wish (f.i. euro rather than GBP) all that specially for MP :D.

Thanks for the suggestion VdR. In fact that is exactly what I am doing to get around it. The only annoying thing for e though is if I change te language to English (UK) and if I open up my web browser and visit "locale sensitive" web sites, i.e. google.com, it defaults to google.co.uk instead of google.co.nz which I would prefer. No biggie, but just annoying.
