Hi

Love this plugin - just some questions...

1. Can i turn off the fanart background and just have my own "black" image background. Can i just set the "backdrop" option in the advanced menu to a direct image instead of a folder path?

2. Is there anyway to seperate my data sources? I have 2 hard drives. I would Like seperate folders Disk 1 / Disk 2.

3. Can anyone possibly tell me where i can get a cool intro video for the advanced "custom intro location" setting - i'd love to have the "switch off phones", "my vue" etc intro things :)

Thanks so much! :D

1) Yes you can turn off backdrops but you will probably will have to modify the skin files. This setting is only available in the skin files because generally we try to leave presentation stuff up to the skin designers. Some skins are designed to look good with backdrops (fanart) and some are not and we let the skin designer decide what they want to do. All that said, look in the beginning of your movingpictures.xml file in your skin folder. At the top is a list of variables that allows you to define when a backdrop is used. For example you can see the relevant lines for the Blue3wide skin here.

2) You will be able to split up your collection based on the import path in the next release, you will only need to configure the categories menu.

3) Not sure, maybe someone else can help you find a nice intro video. :p

It's an old thread, but all the same - I have been looking at this too...here's one from the FAQ, maybe not what you are looking for though.

DTS THX Dolby WMV Movie Distributor VOB Trailers

I am after something from my childhood - perhaps the grainy, badly made adverts for the Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant in High Street, or the Walls Cornetto advert with the Kaeledescope effect...or even the old 'smoking on the left-hand side of the cinema, and non-smoking on the right' (what was that all about???)

Edit: here's what I was looking for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uTJjDVuYDQ :)
