4k movies

    hi all , thinking of trying mediaportal 2 already mediaportal 1 user. my question is how to handle 4k hdr movie playback seemless cant find any info on this matter when i mean seemless like in mediaportal 1 external player where it loads up as soon you player movie and you really dont notice you are using external player that type of seemless

    any help would be great

    MP2 has issues with HEVC 4k files. There is a incomplete version of the x64 client that plays the files but has limitations with subtitles, RC6 remote commands and a few other things. I documented some of the issues here, the x64 client is also somewhere in the thread.

    Thx's for the info, so as it stands it's not worth trying mediaportal 2 and just stick with mp1 and use madvr to passthrough hdr or tone map the hdr.
